Rev. Drew Clark, Pastor<\/STRONG><\/P>\n

Rev. Clark has served as pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Goldsboro since February 2006.  Prior to coming to First Pres he served as an Associate pastor for Youth and Families at Selwyn Ave Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC and Pastor of Englewood Presbyterian Church in Rocky Mount, NC. Drew received a BA degree from DePauw University and Master Divinity, Princeton Theological Seminary.  He currently is a candidate for a Doctorate of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Christian Leadership.  Drew and wife, Missy have three children, Nathan, Stephen, and Rachel.<\/P>\n

Dorothy Hill, Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Youth Ministry  <\/STRONG>
  
Dorothy was raised in Texas and Georgia. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Economics at King College in Bristol, Tennessee. She attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, north of Boston. Dorothy was ordained in August 2009 as Associate Pastor and is currently serving here at First Presbyterian Church. <\/v:stroke><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:formulas><\/v:path><\/o:lock><\/v:shapetype><\/v:imagedata><\/v:shape><\/SPAN>  <\/v:shapetype><\/SPAN><\/v:shapetype><\/SPAN><\/P><\/v:stroke><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:f><\/v:formulas><\/v:path><\/o:lock><\/v:shapetype><\/v:imagedata><\/v:shape><\/SPAN><\/v:shapetype><\/SPAN>\n

Kirk Tate, Director of Student Ministries<\/STRONG><\/P>\n

Kirk is responsible for the leadership and coordination of our FPC’s Youth Ministries of FPC as well as providing assistance to other ministries within the church,<\/st1:PersonName> particularly Christian <\/SPAN>Education. <\/SPAN>Kirk and Jessica,<\/st1:PersonName> who have been married for one year this month,<\/st1:PersonName> have both been involved in youth ministry for a number of years and bring a great deal of experience and leadership to us. Serving a variety of congregations (Southport<\/st1:City>,<\/st1:PersonName> North Carolina<\/st1:State>; Easley<\/st1:City>,<\/st1:PersonName> South Carolina<\/st1:State>; and Downers Grove<\/st1:City>,<\/st1:PersonName> Illinois<\/st1:State><\/st1:place>),<\/st1:PersonName> Kirk has had the opportunity to minister to youth in various settings and help them develop lasting relationships with the Lord and the Church. Both of the Tates have worked with YouthWorks,<\/st1:PersonName> a youth mission organization that <\/SPAN>develops mission opportunities for youth and intergenerational groups throughout the US<\/st1:country-region>,<\/st1:PersonName> Canada<\/st1:country-region>,<\/st1:PersonName> and Puerto Rico<\/st1:place>. Jessica served as the area director for the West Virginia<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> region for a number of years.<\/SPAN><\/P>\n

Dr. Jeremy Thompson, Director of Music Ministries<\/STRONG><\/P>\n

Jeremy Thompson was born in Dipper Harbour, a small fishing village in southern New Brunswick, Canada.  From there,he has gone on to perform throughout North America and Europe, thrilling audiences with his virtuosity and the emotional and intellectual depth of his playing.  In 2005, he earned a Doctorate of Music in piano performance from McGill University, where he held two of Canada’s most prestigious doctoral fellowships. During his studies he performed with such orchestras as the Saint Petersburg State Academic Orchestra, the Saratov Philharmonic Orchestra, the Georgian National Orchestra, and the McGill Symphony Orchestra.  Dr. Thompson has completed three highly successful tours to the former Soviet Union, and has been invited to perform and give master-classes at various colleges and universities throughout North America. He has a long and distinguished list of awards including being a finalist in the 2006 Pacific Piano Competition. He has been the Director of Music at First Presbyterian Church since November 2005.<\/P>\n

Margaret Cook, Church Administrator<\/STRONG><\/P>\n

Margaret is married to Henry Cook (Cookie) and the mother of two sons, Jimmy and Steven. She also has two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Matthew. She received an Emergency Medical Technician-D Certification through Wayne community College and was a volunteer with Grantham Rescue Squad for 23 years. She is very involved in her church serving in various positions as well as her community. She has been Office Administrator here at FPC since March 2001 and currently serving in the capacity of Director of Administrative Ministries and serves on the Building and Grounds Committee. She has been a Notary Public since December 2001.<\/P>\n

 Ruth Smith, Assistant Church Administrator<\/STRONG><\/P>\n

Ruth is from New Bern, NC and has lived in Goldsboro since 1984. She is married to Eddie Smith and she is the mother of two daughters, Stephanie and Rebecca, and grandmother of one.  She received a B.S. degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Business from Free Will Baptist Bible College in 1983.  After teaching elementary classes and school librarian for several years, she was a stay-at-home mom before entering the business field.  She then served as Assistant Administrator for FEMA during the Katrina disaster.  She is actively involved in her church with several positions. She has served as Assistant Administrator of FPC since January 2009.

Jean Whitaker, Finance and Membership Coordinator<\/STRONG><\/P>\n

Jean graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina Wesleyan College in 1988, with a Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting. She also has been a Notary Public since 1994. She has lived in Goldsboro since 1972 and she is the mother of two children, Jennifer and Joseph. She has been Financial Administrator here at FPC since July 2002.<\/P>\n
