Tuesday Troubleshooters (Men's Ministry)
A brief history: Upon their retirement, Gene Eloshway and Homer Phillips worked at the church doing odd jobs, such as painting and cleaning. Gene discussed with Homer the idea of getting together a group of reitred men to work around the church on Tuesdays. The first group of men met on the morning of February 9, 1993 with Gene Eloshway. Agnes Adams, a church office volunteer, named the group "Tuesday Troubleshooters."
From that day till now the group meets each Tuesday. The meeting opens with a prayer and devotion. One of the men maintains a list of the projects, such as repairing, painting, yard work, and other tasks. The men decide among themselves with jobs they will do that day. If you are interested in joining this group please call the church office @ 919-734-5392.
Men's Breakfast meets every last Saturday of the month at Dee's Diner from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, we commit ourselves:
- To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study
- To attend to the needs of our church family
- To support the mission of the church worldwide
- To work for justice and peace
- To build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and
witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom and the saving grace of Jesus Christ!
Each woman of FPC is included in Presbyterian Women and invited to become a member of one of our circles:
Circle 4 meets the first Monday of each month at 6:30pm and circles 1, 2, and 3 meet the first Tuesday
of each month at 10:00am for miscellaneous business, Bible study, and prayer.
At large: No meetings, but available to assist with various church family duties.
Home: For those who can no longer be active but enjoy being visited.
