Noé Juarez
Pastor and Head of Staff
Pastor Noé was born in Peru. Attended the San Martin Teaching Institute and got his degree in History and Geography. In 2003 married Laurie and moved to Greensboro, NC. He got his Master of Divinity at Union Presbyterian Seminary and a certificate in Clinical Pastoral Education at Duke University. Prior to coming to First Presbyterian Church, Noé served as a pastor at Sunset Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, FL. And then as an associate pastor for Mission and Family Ministries at Highland Presbyterian Church, in Lancaster PA for 7 years. In 2017, he also completed his Doctor of Ministry at Columbia Theological Seminary and taught Practical Theology at Lancaster Theological Seminary.
Laurie and Noé have two children: Paul Santiago (15) and Ella Gloria (13). They also have a beautiful, spoiled little dog named Gemma. In the last few months, they were Ayacucho, Peru as missionaries serving in a non-profit, implementing libraries, helping a Presbyterian church, and teaching at a local Seminary.
In his free time, Noé enjoys playing guitar, charango, and Peruvian flute. He also enjoys playing soccer, reading poetry, and traveling. Pastor Noé and his family are super excited to be called to serve at First Presbyterian Church in Goldsboro.

Chris Watkins
Director of Music
Chris was born in Greensboro, NC. He attended Guilford College graduating Magna cum laude with a Master’s degree in organ performance and choral conducting. He received a scholarship and assistantship to pursue his doctorate in organ performance and choral conducting at the University of South Carolina. Chris has served churches in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia. He performed in the White House by special invitation of the President for two Christmas concerts for members of the Senate and their families. He also performed for five Southern governors in their Executive Mansions including Governor James Martin and Governor James Hunt of North Carolina. Chris’s hobbies include studying English history, painting, and cooking for friends. He wants to use his talents to bring out the talents of others in order to give them back to God with a joyful heart and sound.

Dalton Bolles
Youth Director
Dalton grew up in Bemus Point, New York before moving to Goldsboro with his wife Hadley. He is currently attending Empire State College and will be earning his bachelor's degree in Psychology. Before becoming part of our staff he has taught full time as well as substituted at many schools across Wayne county. Dalton is looking forward to continuing his career working with the youth of our church.

Christina King
Church Administrator
Christina King grew up in Fayetteville, NC., and graduated with an MBA from Ashford University. She has worked as a Training and Curriculum Specialist for the child development centers at Ft. Bragg, NC for the last several years. She and her husband (Michael King) returned to Goldsboro in 2022 after retiring from the USAF. She has two beautiful daughters, one granddaughter, and one grandson on the way. (June). She likes to read, and craft and enjoys family. She is excited to get to know everyone as well.

Jean Whitaker
Finance and Membership Administrator
Jean graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina Wesleyan College in 1988, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. She also has been a Notary Public since 1994. She has lived in Goldsboro since 1972 and she is the mother of two children, Jennifer and Joseph. She has been a Financial Administrator here at FPC since July 2002.
